THOU ART WORTHY  (author unknown)

Thou art worthy (3x) 0 Lord,  Thou art worthy to receive glory, glory and honor and power, For thou hast created, hast all things created, Thou hast created all things

And for Thy pleasure they are created, Thou art worthy, O Lord

MY JESUS, I LOVE THEE  Words: William R. Featherston, 1864;  Music: Adoniram J. Gordon, 1876

My Jesus, I love Thee, I know Thou art mine; For Thee all the follies of sin I resign. My gracious Redeemer, my Savior art Thou; If ever I loved Thee, my Jesus, 'tis now.  /  I love Thee because Thou has first loved me, And purchased my pardon on Calvary's tree.  I love Thee for wearing the thorns on Thy brow; If ever I loved Thee, my Jesus, 'tis now.  /  I'll love Thee in life, I will love Thee in death, And praise Thee as long as Thou lendest me breath; And say when the death dew lies cold on my brow, If ever I loved Thee, my Jesus, 'tis now.  /  In mansions of glory and endless delight, I'll ever adore Thee in heaven so bright; I'll sing with the glittering crown on my brow; If ever I loved Thee, my Jesus, 'tis now.

I SURRENDER ALL       Words: Judson W. Van DeVenter, 1896: Music: Winfield S. Weeden, 1896

All to Jesus, I surrender;  All to Him I freely give; I will ever love and trust Him,  In His presence daily live  /   (Refrain) I surrender all, I surrender all,  All to Thee, my blessèd Savior, I surrender all.  /  All to Jesus I surrender;  Humbly at His feet I bow, Worldly pleasures all forsaken;  Take me, Jesus, take me now.  Refrain...  /  All to Jesus, I surrender;  Make me, Savior, wholly Thine; Let me feel the Holy Spirit,  Truly know that Thou art mine.  Refrain...  /  All to Jesus, I surrender;  Lord, I give myself to Thee; Fill me with Thy love and power;  Let Thy blessing fall on me.  Refrain...  /  All to Jesus I surrender;  Now I feel the sacred flame. O the joy of full salvation!  Glory, glory, to His Name!  Refrain...

GIVE ME JESUS                                    Traditional African-American Spiritual

In the morning when I rise, In the morning when I rise, In the morning when I rise, Give me Jesus / Give me Jesus, give me Jesus You can have all this world But give me Jesus  /  When I am alone  When I am alone, When I am alone, give me Jesus  --(chorus)  /  When I come to die  When I come to die, When I come to die, give me Jesus  --(chorus)…

A MIGHTY FORTRESS IS OUR GOD            Words & Music: Martin Luther

A mighty fortress is our God, a bulwark never failing; Our helper He, amid the flood of mortal ills prevailing: For still our ancient foe doth seek to work us woe; His craft and power are great, and, armed with cruel hate, On earth is not his equal. / Did we in our own strength confide, our striving would be losing; Were not the right Man on our side, the Man of God's own choosing: Dost ask who that may be? Christ Jesus, it is He; Lord Sabaoth, His Name, from age to age the same, And He must win the battle. /  And though this world, with devils filled, should threaten to undo us, We will not fear, for God hath willed His truth to triumph through us: The Prince of Darkness grim, we tremble not for him; His rage we can endure, for lo, his doom is sure, One little word shall fell him.  /  That word above all earthly powers, no thanks to them, abideth; The Spirit and the gifts are ours through Him Who with us sideth: Let goods and kindred go, this mortal life also; The body they may kill: God's truth abideth still, His kingdom is forever.

IT IS WELL            Music: Philip P. Bliss, 1876. Words: Horatio G. Spafford, 1873

When peace, like a river, attendeth my way,  When sorrows like sea billows roll; Whatever my lot, Thou has taught me to say,  It is well, it is well, with my soul. Refrain:  It is well, with my soul, It is well, with my soul, It is well, it is   well, with my soul.

Though Satan should buffet, though trials should come, Let this blest assurance control, That Christ has regarded my helpless estate, And hath shed His own blood for my soul.  (Refrain...)  /

My sin, oh, the bliss of this glorious thought! My sin, not in part but the whole, Is nailed to the cross, and I bear it no more, Praise the Lord, praise the Lord, O my soul (Refrain...)  /

For me, be it Christ, be it Christ hence to live: If Jordan above me shall roll, No pang shall be mine, for in death as in life Thou wilt whisper Thy peace to my soul.  (Refrain...)  /

But, Lord, 'tis for Thee, for Thy coming we wait, The sky, not the grave, is our goal; Oh trump of the angel! Oh voice of the Lord! Blessèd hope, blessèd rest of my soul!  (Refrain...)  /

And Lord, haste the day when my faith shall be sight, The clouds be rolled back as a scroll; The trump shall resound, and the Lord shall descend, Even so, it is well with my soul.  (Refrain...)

BE THOU MY VISION           Words: Attributed to Dallan Forgaill, 8th Century (Rob tu mo bhoile, a Comdi cride); translated from ancient Irish to English by Mary E. Byrne, in "Eriú," Journal of the School of Irish Learning, 1905, and versed by Eleanor H. Hull, 1912, alt.    Music: "Slane," of Irish folk origin

Be Thou my Vision, O Lord of my heart; Naught be all else to me, save that Thou art  /  Thou my best Thought, by day or by night, Waking or sleeping, Thy presence my light.  /

Be Thou my Wisdom, and Thou my true Word; ever with Thee and Thou with me, Lord; Thou my great Father, I Thy true son; Thou in me dwelling, and I with Thee one.  /

Be Thou my battle Shield, Sword for the fight; Be Thou my dignity, Thou my Delight; Thou my soul's Shelter, Thou my high Tower: Raise Thou me heavenward, O Power of my power.  /

Riches I heed not, nor man's empty praise, Thou mine Inheritance, now and always: Thou and Thou only, first in my heart, High King of heaven, my Treasure Thou art. /

High King of heaven, my victory won, May I reach heaven's joys, O bright Heaven's Sun! Heart of my own heart, whatever befall, Still be my Vision, O Ruler of all.

The Water is Wide (THE GIFT OF LOVE)   Music: Traditional English melody, arranged by Ken Totushek                                                                                             Words: Hal H. Hopson, 1972.   (c) 1972 Hope Publishing Company, Carol Stream, IL 60188.

Though I may speak with bravest fire, And have the gift to all inspire, And have not love, my words are vain, As sounding brass, and hopeless gain. /

Though I may give all I possess, And striving so my love profess, But not be given by love within, The profit soon turns strangely thin.  /

Come, Spirit, come, our hearts control, our spirits long to be made whole. Let inward love guide every deed; By this we worship, and are freed.

THE WORD/AMAZING GRACE       By Michael Card  (Colossians 3:16 & John 1:1-14) and  Words for Amazing Grace: John Newton, Music: Traditional American

The Word is living, The Word is light, The Word delights my soul, Preserves my life Holy and hidden, Forever new, The perfect sacrifice Our Lord...Jesus Christ  /

The Word is wisdom, The Word is true, The Word takes all that's old, And makes it new, When hearts are broken It makes them whole, The One who paid the price, Our Lord...Jesus Christ  /

The Word is wounded, Time and again, The Word is suffering still, For those in sin, Come now believing, This Word is true, The cross speaks this advice, "Trust me...Jesus Christ"

JESUS, OUR REDEEMER*                                             ©2004 By Ken Totushek

Composition derived from music of "There Is A Redeemer" by Melody Green

There is a redeemer, Jesus, God's own Son, Precious Lamb of God, Messiah, Holy One,  /  Jesus my redeemer, Name above all names, Precious Lamb of God, Messiah, Oh, for sinners slain.

(refrain) Thank you oh my father,  For giving us Your Son, And leaving Your Spirit, 'Til the       work on Earth is done.  /

When I stand in Glory, I will see His face, And there I'll serve my King forever, In that Holy Place.  /

Thank you oh my father, For giving us Your Son, And leaving Your Spirit, 'Til the work on Earth is done.  /

*NOTE: In this instrumental I have attempted to weave together 4 distinct parts, or "movements," while always coming back in some form to the song it was derived from "There Is a Redeemer.”  Each of the four movements represents a segment of Jesus' life.  First, “Birth and Ministry”--Jesus' birth, early days of life, through his baptism and ministry.  Second, “The passion week,”--represents the passion and crucifixion of Jesus.  The third “Resurrection,”--speaks to me of the power and beauty of Jesus' supernatural resurrection from death to life; and the fourth I call "Pentecost"--the receiving of the Holy Spirit.

COME TO ME   (From Matthew 11:28-30)                                         By Ken Totushek

Come to me...come to me...Come to me all who labor, and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.  Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, For I am gentle and lowly in heart (2X)

/  And you will find rest for your soul, for my yoke is easy and my burden light,  (2nd time) Yes you will find rest for your soul

For my yoke is easy and my burden is light  /  Come to me... come to me...He said "Come to me, my children, come to me”

HEART OF WORSHIP                                                                              Matt Redman

When the music fades, all is stripped away, and I simply come, Longing just to bring something that's of worth, that will bless Your heart, /

(refrain)  I'll bring You more than a song, for a song in itself Is not what you have required. You search much deeper within, through the way things appear, You're looking into my heart  /  I'm coming back to the heart of worship, and it's all about You, It's all about you, Jesus.  I'm sorry, Lord, for the thing I've made it, when it's all about You, it's all about you, Jesus  /

King of endless worth No one could express how much You deserve.  Though I'm weak and poor all I have is Yours, every single breath / (refrain…)

MORE PRECIOUS THAN SILVER  Lynn DeShazo--added refrain, Ken Totushek

Lord, You are more precious than silver…Lord, You are More costly than gold…Lord, You are  more beautiful than diamonds, and nothing I desire compares with You.  /  (refrain)  You gave all just for me,  You took my sin at calvary, Your grace alone, has made my eyes  to see my one desire is to be free…Lord, set my heart on Thee.

ABOVE ALL                                                   Paul Baloche and Lenny Leblanc

Above all powers, above all kings…Above all nature and all created things…above all wisdom and all the ways of man, You were here before the world began.  /

Above all kingdoms, above all thrones…Above all wonders this world has ever known…above all wealth and treasures of the earth, There's no way to measure what you're worth.  /

(chorus) Crucified, laid behind a stone, You lived to die, rejected and alone.  Like a rose, trampled on the ground…You took the fall, and thought of me, above all.

EMBRACE THE CROSS                                                   John G. Elliott

I am crucified with Christ, therefore I no longer live,  Jesus Christ now lives in me…I am crucified with Christ, therefore I no longer live…Jesus Christ now lives in me  /

Embrace the cross where Jesus suffered, though it will cost you all you claim as yours…Your sacrifice will seem small beside the treasure, eternity can’t measure  what Jesus holds in store.  /

Embrace the love the cross requires, cling to the One whose  heart knows every pain.  Receive from Jesus fountains of compassion, for only he can  fashion your heart to move as His. /

(bridge) Oh, wondrous cross, our desire rests in You,  Oh Lord Jesus make us bolder, to face with courage the shame and disgrace You bore upon Your shoulder.  /

Embrace the life that comes from dying.  Come trace the steps the Savior walked for you.  An empty tomb concludes Golgotha's sorrow, endure then 'til tomorrow your cross of suffering.  /  Embrace the cross…embrace the cross…the cross of Jesus.

JESUS                                                                                                             By Ken Totushek

Jesus… Jesus…   Jesus… help my heart be still…Jesus… Jesus…  Jesus… let me do your will  /  You gave up all your heavenly glory, to take the life of flesh on earth…Among us all You lived your story, to offer us a second birth  /  (chorus)  /  Now some have said you were a prophet, And others...just a man of God… But if the tree on which You died could speak,

I know what it would say, “This path, no man before has trod”  /  (chorus)  /  In that dark hour You thought of me, abandoned, all alone you prayed…Like blood sweat poured out in Gethsemane that night, but on the Father's will Your heart was stayed…"Not my will but Yours be done" was all you prayed  / ( chorus)

MAN OF NO REPUTATION                                                   Rick Elias

It was said this man was of no reputation, Yet he could stop the rising storm with a gesture of his hand.  But he chose to use his hands to heal, hearts of darkness, hearts of stone just like mine, would be revealed

(chorus) He was a man of no reputation, and by the wise, considered a fool…When he spoke about faith and forgiveness In a time when the strongest arms ruled...But this man of no reputation loved the weak with relentless affection…And he loved all those poor in spirit just as they were, He was a man of no reputation   /

It was said this man brought only confusion…That He'd achieve His ends by any means, that the truth would bring revolution… And for once they were right, the truth will set us free, The hearts of the captive were His only concern, and the powerful knew their days were ending

(chorus…)  /      (bridge) One day soon the gates of Heaven will open wide…And the Prince of Peace will come back for His bride  /

But for now we live on these streets forbidding and tough…Where push always comes to shove, and it's said love's never enough.  Where a prophet in rags gives hope to a fearful world… No injustice, no heart of darkness will keep this voice from being heard.  /

He was a man of no reputation, by the wise, considered a fool… When he spoke about faith and forgiveness, in a time when the strongest arms ruled…But this man of no reputation loves us all with relentless affection…And he loves us all poor in spirit…come as you  are to the Man of no reputation

God gave me a song...that the angels cannot sing, I've been washed in the blood, of the Crucified One, I've been redeemed... Oh... (2x)  /

POWER!  God has the power in His hand… POWER!  He's got the power in His hand… POWER!  He made the leaves on the trees… POWER!  He made the birds and the bees… POWER!  He made the oceans and seas… POWER!  God, He made made you and me… POWER!  He's got the power in His hands… POWER!  He's got the power in his hands… POWER!  Power of the world in His hands… POWER!  Power of the world in His hands… POWER… Power...Power… God gave me a song!

23RD PSALM                                                               Noel Paul Stookey

The Lord is my Shepherd And I shall not want He maketh me to lie down in green pastures…He leadeth me beside the still waters, He restoreth my soul  /  Oooh...oooh...oooh  /  He leadeth me in the path of righteousness for His name sake, And yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I shall fear no evil for Thou art with me.  Oh thy rod and thy staff they comfort me  /  Oooh...oooh...oooh  /  Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies.  Thou annointest my head with oil, my cup runneth over  /  Oh surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life…And I shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever.  Ah...ah...ah...ah..amen
